I know the flip flop is the most straightforward shoe to wear. Suppose you go for a quick errand, or a walk, shopping. It’s embracing your feet in a second. Why overthinking about what kind of shoe to wear?

The espadrilles

The espadrilles are the most straightforward shoes to pop on. Since the 14th, espadrilles have existed. It is a pleasant shoe to wear in Spring Summer.

Espadrilles got their popularity in the 1940s. Big Hollywood movies were the inspiration for many people.

Creative Designer Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted a feminine shoe for the J’adior line.

In the 60s, Dior asked Roger Vivier to design the Dior shoes. He experimented with different kinds of heel variations. Rogier Vivier shoes are recognisable by the square buckle on the front. 

This makes the Dior Slingback and Roger Vivier a very elegant shoe. You wear this shoe in the evening or at the office.

The shoe that I prefer is the kitten heel. It is a justified height to walk on and yet elegant. This is a must-have shoe. It is wearable throughout the day and suitable for the evening.

In the 50s, Roger Vivier designed this shoe for young girls (kittens). They weren’t that adult enough to wear stilettos.  

Though you see some kitten heels design in the Dior shoe collection. This heel was yet one of his experiments.

I get my inspiration from the 20s, 50s and 70s shoe designers. Woman in that time looked feminine and elegant.
